Notably if fights do not line up well for Ravenous Frenzy on the 3 minute interval or notably DO line up well for Convoke the Spirits and Night Fae you may want to elect to play that covenant on that specific encounter instead.

It does have a few more pronounced downsides though. Ravenous Frenzy is the Venthyr ability for Balance Druid and it is powerful for most situations due to the raw amount of damage output it can reasonably deal. Ideally you want to play both depending on the boss fight and the situation.
